Welcome to Betty & Nick's!

What Can We Get You?

Space

Since 1970, those words have been said many, many times and we still aim to please our customers every day. Let me introduce our Betty & Nick's staff to you:

Tammy is our breakfast chef. She is there in the morning to greet you at 4:30 a.m. on the weekends during fishing season. She is also my son, John's, wife and my grandson, Nick's, mother. Tammy is always creating new and delicious breakfast platters to add to our menu specials. She has redesigned our beachy café, since it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. She is the driving force that keeps us getting better and better at serving our customers' needs.

Earl is our lunch chef. With Earl, the customer comes first. He wants to make you happy. His chili is to die for, and don't forget about his burgers and cheesesteaks. He works 7 days a week and wouldn't have it any other way. We are so blessed to have him.

Caity is our gorgeous waitress. She is so creative. All the blackboard art is hers. I love looking at her artwork on the menu board. She just started our Betty & Nick's Facebook page, which features pictures and write-ups on our new additions to the menu.

Brenda is our morning waitress. She comes in on Saturday and Sunday at 5 a.m. and has a beautiful smile and a hoot! She loves to converse with the fishermen and is so helpful in any way.

Nicholas is my grandson. He is part of the reason for our rebuilding after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. The day after the storm, he saw pictures of what the flood had done to our business. He said to me, "This is the end of Betty & Nick's. What will we do now?" I looked into his 11-year-old eyes and said, "We will rebuild, because someday Betty & Nick's will be yours." The hope and joy in his face was overwhelming; we knew we had to rebuild. Nick also helps us at the restaurant and tackle shop. He gets us change, ice, and baits hooks, and keeps our spirits up every day.

John, my son, runs the tackle shop. When his dad died suddenly in 2005, he took over without blinking an eye. He is responsible for our successful website, Facebook page, reel repairs, and just about anything you need to go fishing. I am so proud of him and thankful to have him in my life.

We have some new faces that I would like to introduce:

Francine is our blue-eyed beauty who will always greet you with a smile and provide top-notch service. She also jumps in on the tackle side to provide expert fishing advice. Francine comes from a family with fishing in the blood.

Melissa has been with us throughout the years and has become part of our family. She only works Sundays, but brings a ray of sunshine to our place. Meilssa is our bubble wrap child that always is laughing and smiling.

Last, but not least, there is me, Beth. I don't work as much these days, but I am working behind the scenes. I am so proud of our Betty & Nick family and hope to see you in the restaurant and tackle shop. A lot of you grew up with us and I am so blessed to be a part of your lives.

Enjoy!

Peter and his son purchased the restaurant in 2000 and transformed the restaurant to what it is today. Specializing in European-style seafood, Betty & Nick's focuses on quality and service; you can be sure to be treated like family here. To maintain its leadership position in casual dining, Betty & Nick's's most varied and mouthwatering selection of food is complemented by an all-new, attractive atmosphere where guests will always feel at home.

This is a restaurant where you can be sure to feel comfortable enough to laugh out loud or pass a savory plate of fried calamari around the table. Its architecture takes on a new life, and a plain box with paper plates from the old days of casual dining has now evolved into the bright, open feel of the New Jersey family restaurant that you see today.

Even as Betty & Nick's continues to change and grow, some things always remain the same: the magic of indulging in our all-you-can-eat crab legs, the sweet taste of fresh Maine lobsters dipped in butter, and the heart-warming sound of laughter ringing everywhere amidst the restaurant.
