ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK REPORT

THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

5/26/19 UPDATED 6:12 AM I know it's 5-26, when we are busy like this, I get the dates confused and they run together. Cloudy right now????? The bay is still loaded with bluefish as I expect the inlets are as well. Decent bite out front. Even with the clouds, great day for fishing and we crushed the fish off the surf on the dropping tide in the afternoon Saturday when the wind was west.

UPDATED 5:23 AM Different wind direction today, but should still be excellent. Listen to the video please.

Yesterday's Report: UPDATED 5:54 AM Conditions this entire weekend look prime I am told, and today is a lock. The fish seem to be cooperating as well as we had 2 keeper bass weighed in and countless reports of bluefish from all 3 sides. Just as a recap in case you are just joining us, bluefish in sizes from 3 pounds to 17 pounds being caught out front, in the inlet, and in the bay on poppers and bucktails. If you are going to use bait, mullet and bunker out front, bunker out back. Short to keeper bass being caught out front on bunker, clams, bucktails, SP's. It's a good thing.
