ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK REPORT

THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

7/20/19 UPDATED 5:35 AM Haven't talked much about it this year, but crabbing is really starting to pick up now. Large ones being caught. My first customer of the day today got a couple dozen in 2 hours and is going back out right now.

UPDATED 4:43 AM Despite the state of emergency, state and local governments are allowing us to stay open. We will be open today from 4:30 AM to 9 PM. All bridges and highways will remain open as well. Good night, and God Bless.

UPDATED 5:00 AM Based on what I have seen on our Facebook page, they are still getting lots of small blues on mullet and metal, and kingfish on bloods, salted clams, squid, and fishbites. Conditions should be good with a light notheast wind. On site reports will be very tough to come by based on the participation from yesterday and the weather reports for this weekend. The winds are supposed to be out of the east all weekend, so while inland will be a scorcher, the island should be ok.
